Alcoholism
Alcohol and has a very negative influence on the health of a person. It influences mental activity of people. People may even die if they take a big doze of alcohol.
It influences person's organism a lot. Liver, kidneys, bowels suffer a lot from the alcohol. Alcohol may cause serious problems. Alcoholism makes people get old very quickly and alcoholic looks awful, his/her skin takes the yellow colour.
Even if a person takes a small doze of alcohol, the working abilities get worse and the person becomes sleepy. At first the person becomes very active and has a good mood. But that happens because alcohol influences mental abilities of the person.
Nowadays it is especially important problem, because it becomes the reason of many accidents and catastrophes. The problem of driving a car after drinking alcohol is one of the most serious. People suffer from it a lot. And the worst is that ordinary people suffer from it.
But why do people use alcohol? First of all it is connected with psychological problems of people; they think that abuse of alcohol will help them to forget their problems. But of course it doesn't help but even makes the situation worse.
Families of alcoholics suffer a lot. The behaviour of alcoholic may be different, and sometimes a person becomes very aggressive and may even attack others. There are a lot of cases when a person killed his/her friends, relatives being drunk. Alcoholic turns the life of his/her relatives into tortures.
There are a lot of hospitals and doctors that try to treat alcoholism. Alcoholism is dangerous because people get addicted to it and can't give it up. They try to resist but they are not strong enough to do that.
People also use alcohol because they want to feel the euphoric influence of it. The use of alcohol makes people act free; they stop feeling all complexes and don't worry about any problems.
Unfortunately, statistics show that this problem becomes more and more serious especially among children and teens. The average age of a person who uses alcohol regularly is 19 years old. Governments of all countries try to control this problem by passing law according to which it is forbidden to sell alcohol to people under 18 or 21 (depends on the country) years old.
