Drugs – the problem of the 21st century

Drugs may be called the most important problem of the 21st century, as it turned into disease impossible to treat and resist. Every day more and more people start to take drugs and the number of deaths caused by drugs increases day by day.

Drug – is a substance that influences the person's psyche and brings delight to the drug taker. And according to definition drugs are not so awful, but the worst about drugs is that a person becomes addicted to it and he/she starts to increase the doze of drugs that may harm the person and even kill him/her. The person feels constant need to take a doze of drugs and when he/she can't get a doze he/she feels paint and suffers physically and mentally.

Drugs are illegal and their distribution is forbidden by law. Besides, some medicines and medical pills may be used as drugs. So a pill may treat a person and at the same time kill him/her.

Alcohol and nicotine are also considered to be drugs, but these are legal drugs. There are considered to be drugs because they also harm the health and a person becomes addicted to it.

Drug addict becomes unsociable person that thinks only about his/her next doze. And a person turns into zombie that searches for drugs.

But why do people start to take drugs? There are several reasons. First of all drugs are taken not to feel paint. Sometimes even doctors prescribe medicine that must blunt the paint, and patients get addicted to it.

Another problem is the use of drugs with the purpose to forget about some problems in the family, at work, at school, in Universities, etc. They think that drugs will solve all their problems or at least will help them to forget about them.

Other people try drugs just for fun or to support other teens who take drugs. And in such way step by step they start to take drugs and get addicted to it.

It is very easy to try a drug but it is very hard to resist it and to stop taking it.

Drugs are the main reason for increase of the number of people with AIDS. Drugs addicted don't worry about syringes they use that should be changed every time; they don't worry about condoms that should be used, etc. And as a result AIDS is spreading.

Drug addicts can't control their actions. And if they need a doze of drugs they are ready to become thieves, burglars and even murderers to get money to buy drugs.

Nowadays drugs addiction is treated. But there are a few people who managed to fight with this addiction and now live the normal life again. Most of drug addicts stay drug addicts for the rest of their lives. They try to resist drugs but start to take it again and again.

This problem is very serious nowadays and is especially spread among teenagers and young people. There are a lot of celebrities that take drugs and they are not ashamed to demonstrate it.
