Overpopulation

The problem of overpopulation has always concerned humanity. Fifty and hundred years ago people were worried about the problem of overpopulation.

And this problem threatens out world. In several years there will be so many people in the world that our planet will not be able to provide food and water for them. If you add the economical and political problems to it, you'll understand that the majority of people will suffer from hunger. Besides, the population of Africa, India, China and the USA will increase. But just the opposite will happen in the countries of Europe.

But it doesn't mean that there is no way out. According to researches we may rely on nature. These researches show that till 70s of the 21st century the number of people will increase. By that moment the number of people will increase on 9 billions. But then the number of population will decrease and by the end of the 21st century there will be only 8 billions of people in the world.

According to some theories nature will regulate the number of people as it did before. When the problem of overpopulation threatens the planet, wars are declared, new diseases appear, catastrophes and cataclysms take place. And the same happens nowadays. As overpopulation threatens our planets there are a lot of catastrophes and cataclysms that happen mainly in countries where the population increases. Remember tornados and inundations that happened in the USA and India. Maybe nature is much smarter than humanity and controls everything that happens with the planet.

Humanity tries to fight against this problem. And overpopulated countries take measures to reduce the birth rate. There are a lot of programs that are created to gain this aim. For example, it is allowed by law to have only one child in the family. Of course it helps to fight against overpopulation but at the same time, Chinese people have no chance to have a brother or a sister. Government provides education and free medical service only to one child in the family.

The problem of overpopulation should be controlled. New methods of fight with it must be invented.

This problem may also cause other not less important problems such as hunger, racism, wars, economical crisis, etc. This problem is very serious and this fact may be proven by quotes of famous people:
