Racism

According to international law all people have equal rights in spite of their nation, gender, interests, education, religion etc. But there are people who don't agree with it. They feel disdain and don't respect people of other races.
Racism is a synonym of racial discrimination and is based on certain ideology, philosophy that proclaims the superiority of one race. According to it people of one race or of certain ethnic group have the right to rule the world and this right is given to them from their birth.
In is manifested through the discrimination of people which have different colour of skin, features of their nation. An example is the slavery that ruled in America in past centuries. Afro-Americans were slaves because they had different colour of skin. But nowadays there are a lot of laws that forbidden racial discrimination and any violent actions in treatment with people of other ethnic groups.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who still support this ideology and treat people of other nations with aggression and antipathy. They consider people of other nations to be ugly and less developed. And sometimes a person can't get a good job or marry a person he/she love. And the reason is that her/his boss or parents are racists.
To fight with racism, the International day for the Elimination of racial discrimination was founded by the United Nations. This holiday was introduced to fight with racism and to develop equal rights among all people of the world.
Sometimes wars are declared because of racism. Some people hate other nations so much that they may even use violence and kill people. Such extreme actions are serious problems of society that may be solved only with the help of patience and tolerance.
