Top of the hugest catastrophes of the world

Catastrophes are the consequences of the world's problems, and all of them take thousands of lives. They destroy cities and countries. There are a lot of catastrophes in the human history.
And here are the hugest of them:
- Acts of terror on September 11, 2001. This day four planes were attacked by hijackers. And two planes were intentionally crashed into two buildings of the World Trade Centre, the third one into pentagon and the fourth fell down into the field thanks to the crew and passengers that tried to retake control of the plane. This catastrophe is remembered till nowadays, and the USA declared war to terrorism after this act of terrorism. 2819 people from 80 countries of the world died in the collapse of the World Trade Centre. 157 passengers of the planes that crashed into two buildings also died. 343 firemen died trying to save people. 184 people died in the result of crash of the plane into the pentagon. And 44 people died who were on board of the plane that crashed to the ground.
- Hurricane Katrina is one of the greatest catastrophes of the world. 1836 people died in this catastrophe. This hurricane destroyed the city New Orleans. Crime made the situation even worse. Murders, rapes, marauding spread in the city. Prisoners escaped from the jail. Evacuation was declared and people left the city.
- Titanic. Everybody knows the catastrophe that happened with the ship "Titanic". She was the biggest passenger liner of the world at that time. "Titanic" was considered to be 'unsinkable", as highly developed technologies were used during its construction. But it hit an iceberg and sank. More than 1517 people died.
- The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant catastrophe that happened in Ukraine had pitiful consequences for the whole world. On April 26, 1986 the fourth reactor of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the former Soviet Union (Ukraine nowadays) exploded. Radiation release influenced all Europe. Two people died in explosion, but a lot of people died afterwards suffering from radiation.
As you see, there are a lot of catastrophes that took place in the history of humanity. And almost all these catastrophes are connected with negligence of people, who don't follow rules of safety.
A lot of people die in these catastrophes and something should be done to prevent them.
